As a travel blogger, I've always been drawn to the open road and the stories it holds. My journey began unexpectedly, during a stint as a firefighter in the remote Alaskan wilderness. Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife, I picked up a camera and started capturing the beauty around me. What began as a hobby soon turned into a passion, and I found myself trading my firefighter gear for a career in photography and travel writing. Over the years, I've had the privilege of exploring some of the world's most captivating destinations. One of my most memorable experiences was documenting the gauchos in Argentina. Immersing myself in their culture, I witnessed firsthand their deep connection to the land and their unwavering spirit. It was a transformative experience that broadened my appreciation for different ways of life. I'm also an avid train enthusiast, and I try to embark on a major rail journey each year. There's something magical about watching the world unfold from the window of a train, connecting with fellow travelers, and experiencing the unique rhythm of rail travel. Whether it's a cross-country adventure or a scenic route through the mountains, I find that train travel offers a sense of freedom and discovery that's hard to match.
