As a travel blogger and co-founder of Trekaroo, a family travel website, I've spent years inspiring and equipping families to explore the world. My journey began on the California coast, searching for the best kid-friendly tide pools with my wife and co-founder, LiLing, and our curious toddler. That simple quest sparked a passion for sharing travel tips and stories with other adventurous parents. I'm a California native with a love for mountaineering, climbing, snowboarding, and cycling. My adventures have taken me far beyond the Golden State, from living in a hut on a Zimbabwean chicken farm to hiking to Everest Base Camp in winter. I've paddled a dugout tree in Madagascar (and acquired amoebic dysentery in the process!), chilled with giant tortoises in the Galapagos, and witnessed volcanic eruptions firsthand. One of my most memorable experiences was spending six months traveling through Central and South America with my family. More recently, I swam with sharks and stingrays in Tahiti, an experience I highly recommend to any thrill-seeking traveler. Whether it's flying through the trees on ziplines in Moorea or exploring the glaciers of Montana, I'm always seeking out new and exciting destinations. Through my blog, I share detailed guides, personal anecdotes, and practical advice to help families plan unforgettable trips.
