My experiences as the Northwest Editor of Backpacker magazine for 11 years, coupled with my work as a writer and photographer, have shaped my approach to adventure. I believe in the emotional payoff and bonds created through shared outdoor experiences, especially within families. My book, "Before They're Gone," reflects my commitment to exploring and preserving America's endangered national parks, capturing the essence of these precious landscapes with my family.
