Zach Klein is an American entrepreneur and author who created "Cabin Porn," a project he started as a personal passion on Tumblr in 2009. Born from Klein's desire to explore the fantasy of off-grid living, the blog collected images of cabins and tiny homes. Klein, a co-founder of Vimeo and former partner at CollegeHumor, initiated "Cabin Porn" as an escape from the digital world, seeking a counterpoint to his tech-centric career. The blog rapidly gained traction, attracting more than 350,000 followers and ten million unique visitors within its first four years. The significant online success of "Cabin Porn" resulted in the 2015 publication of a photo-book, titled "Cabin Porn: Inspiration for Your Quiet Place Somewhere," which became a New York Times bestseller and was translated into multiple languages. A sequel, "Cabin Porn: Inside," followed in 2020. Through "Cabin Porn," Klein champions a simpler lifestyle connected to nature and unique architecture. He also developed Beaver Brook, a 53-acre property in upstate New York featuring the cabin from the book's cover. From 2020 to 2023, Klein served as CEO of Dwell, contributing to a lifestyle movement emphasizing unplugging from technology and finding serenity in natural, well-crafted spaces.
